Learning materials for your school
Our Elementary Learning Package
The Center provides a fully developed set of educational materials for grades 4-6. Funded by a generous grant from the Federal Republic of Germany, these materials enrich students' understanding of General George C. Marshall while offering substantive learning experiences with a broad range of engaging activities.
The Center's Elementary Learning Package titled, "General George C. Marshall: An American Leader" is a notebook-style presentation that provides an introduction to General Marshall and his home. The notebook provides four fully-developed lessons, archival photos suitable for making transparencies, and copier-ready student handouts. Also, teachers may consider enhancing the learnings offered within the Elementary Learning Package through a special Student Workshop.
 Our Secondary Learning Package
The Center's Secondary Learning Packet for teachers of American history revolves around a 126-page student narrative titled "America's Hero to the World."
The book includes 30 full-page archival photographs along with maps from the Marshall archives, and covers Marshall's life from boyhood in Uniontown to his career as a professional soldier in both World Wars; his role in the shaping of the Marshall Plan while Secretary of State in the post-war; and his service as Secretary of Defense during the Korean War. Through anecdotal examples, students learn of the influences that shaped this remarkable leader of unimpeachable character and integrity.
