Return to GCMIC Programs & Events > International Exchanges

The George C. Marshall International Center’s (GCMIC) Student Partnership Exchange Program (SPEP®), now in its tenth year, is a unique, reciprocal exchange program for high school students and is part of GCMIC’s Marshalling℠ Experience Programs. In 2015 GCMIC introduced two pilot programs in France located in Metz and Saint Cyr sur Loire that continued in 2016.  In 2017 the GCMIC will conduct an SPEP in Metz only.  The GCMIC may continue the program in Saint Cyr sur Loire in 2018.

For two weeks, French students visit Northern Virginia to experience daily life in America. They live with host families and participate in career exploration experiences that focus on their individual professional interests.  In November, we send our U.S. students to France.  Our students live with host families, attend French schools, visit cultural and heritage sites, and participate in career exploration experiences based on their interests.

For more information about our French SPEP® program contact or call 703-777-1301.

Application Deadline is March 1, 2017!*
