Private Events at the Marshall House
Make Your Event Historic
The Marshall House, formerly known as Dodona Manor, provides a unique, historic, and intimate backdrop for business meetings, private events and weddings.
Historic Landmark, The Marshall House is situated in a park-like setting of
trees and gardens on a knoll overlooking historic Leesburg, Virginia. Its unique location on East Market Street,
on the edge of historic Leesburg, provides a convenient meeting or event
location. Guests may also enjoy a tour
of the beautifully restored home as part of your event.
Private Events or Meetings
Weather permitting, The Marshall House stone court and grounds may be used for an event or reception. The grounds are available April through November, and may be made available for charitable, corporate, private, or public tented events. The Stone Court's maximum capacity is 45 guests, and is available for use May 1 through October 15.
The Haub Exhibit Room, on the second floor of The Marshall House, provides a unique setting for meetings and small events. Arranged auditorium style the room can accommodate up to 40 people. Arranged conference style the room can seat est. 12-18 participants. It is also a cozy location for small receptions in winter months, and can accommodate 40-45 guests comfortably.
Our Education Center for larger meetings or workshops is limited to 24 participants conference style, or 45 participants in auditorium style seating. Audio/visual equipment, easels, and white boards are available for your use. Break out rooms are also available.
Our grounds offer a unique opportunity for your outdoor wedding reception, set against the facade of the historic Marshall House and its restored gardens. The picturesque surroundings and regal front porch of the Manor provide wonderful opportunities for your wedding photographs, and your guests will enjoy strolling through the beautifully maintained gardens to your special event. You and your family and friends will enjoy the exclusive use of our grounds for your wedding celebration.
The grounds of The Marshall House, formally the home of General George C. Marshall, have never before been offered to the public for use. This opportunity, introduced in 2011, will truly provide you with a unique and special wedding location.
Thirty or sixty minute tours of The Marshall House for guests can be arranged for a designated time during any event.
