Make a special event historic
Dodona Manor provides a unique, historic, and intimate backdrop for business meetings and private events. However, as a registered National Historic Landmark, the property - including each room of the manor, lawns, and gardens - requires special care.
At present, use of the grounds for a special event is limited to groups affiliated with the GCMIC or its Board Members, Staff, or Docents. Local governmental units, educational organizations, civic groups, partners and Friends of Dodona Manor at the $2,000 membership level and above may also be permitted to utilize the grounds or space at the discretion of the Executive Director or Board President. The Center reserves the right to deny special event requests that may be inappropriate to the museum or to the memory of General and Mrs. George C. Marshall. Please contact our Events Coordinator at 703-777-1301 to discuss your event plans.
- The Stone Court (maximum capacity: 65 guests), is available May 1 through October 15
- The Lawn with a tent (maximum capacity: 150 guests), is available April 15 through November 15
- The Dodona Manor Conference Room (maximum capacity: 40 guests), is available year-round.
The George C. Marshall International Center is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that relies on a combination of memberships, donations, event income, and public/private grants to fund its mission, and to maintain the manor house and grounds. As such we require a special event donation of $500.
Reservation requests for private events must be received a minimum of two months in advance of the
desired date. Priority will be given to members of the "Friends of Dodona Manor." Download our
Special Event Booking Request form to learn more about the possibility of holding your special event at Dodona Manor.
Meeting Space for Small Events or Meetings
Our Conference Room or grounds may also be made available for small events (under 30 guests) that do not require staff coordination for a small donation. Use of the conference room for group meetings or small events is limited to groups affiliated with the GCMIC or its Board Members, staff, or Docents. Local government, educational organizations, civic groups, partners and Friends of Dodona Manor at the $200 membership level and above may also be permitted to utilize the space at the discretion of the Executive Director or Board President.
Please contact our Events Coordinator at (703) 777-1301 for more information, or download our Small Event / Space Use Booking Request form.
