Volunteer at the GCMIC

Volunteer with Some Great People

Volunteers are critical to GCMIC’s success. Volunteering at The Marshall House or events hosted by GCMIC is a wonderful way to meet people in our community, to expand your knowledge, and to experience “behind-the-scenes” museum operations – all while supporting a worthwhile mission.

Whether you are passionate about sharing Marshall’s remarkable life story with others or simply want to experience working in a museum environment, GCMIC makes a variety of activities available for individuals who are interested in history, gardening, collections management, retail, marketing, and development.

Volunteer positions include serving as a docent in the museum, helping to maintain the Marshalls’ rose and vegetable gardens; supporting special exhibits and events; caring for and cataloguing museum artifacts; and helping with mailings and other administrative projects.

Internships may also be available for students of historic preservation, museum management, and marketing/public relations.
