Middle School Program

The George C. Marshall International Center: Leadership Principles and Practices

The George C. Marshall International Center offers its no-cost programming to LCPS middle schools during the spring semester (April-May) when their 7th grade history classes study the United States’ role in World War II and its aftermath.

The program involves several docents coming to your school and features a 17-minute video on General Marshall’s life, “suitcase” presentations of historical artifacts from the Marshall House, docent-led discussions designed to pique students’ interest, and student interactive exercises on leadership and problem-solving linked to World War II, the Marshall Plan, or the Cold War.  The program can be modified to fit numbers of students, time requirements, or other curriculum needs.
