Loudoun County Awards $25,000 Tourism Grant to Marshall Center
Funding Will Support Initiative to Draw Visitors for America’s 250th Anniversary
The George C. Marshall International Center is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $25,000 tourism grant from the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors as part of the county’s Fiscal Year 2026 Restricted Transient Occupancy Tax (RTOT) Tourism Grant Program.
The grant will support a new Marshall Center initiative aimed at attracting out-of-town visitors—particularly business travelers and heritage tourists— to Loudoun County as part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
Loudoun County awarded a total of 16 grants this cycle, distributing $391,663 to projects that aim to “bring more visitors to the county, increase overnight stays in Loudoun hotels, and enhance the overall attractiveness and marketability of Loudoun County as a destination.”
“This funding will help us to bring Marshall’s legacy to new audiences and remind visitors of the values that have shaped—and continue to sustain—our republic,” said Tom Greenspon, Chairman of the George C. Marshall International Center. “As we prepare to mark 250 years since our nation’s birth, the Marshall Center will be proud to showcase how Marshall’s leadership helped preserve and protect the United States at critical points in our shared history.”
